How Much Do Hearing Aids Cost with Defence Health Lifestyle Extras Private Health?

Defence Health Lifestyle Extras lists a hearing aid benefit of 100% up to $1,000, with a 12-month waiting period and a 3-year claiming frequency. Eligible members may be able to use this benefit toward hearing aids once they meet the fund’s policy conditions.

Because our hearing aids are offered direct to consumer, customers can access affordable pricing without the same traditional clinic-based cost structure. If your Defence Health benefit is available, it may help make the final cost of hearing aids even more manageable.

Before ordering, check your Defence Health policy documents or contact the fund directly to confirm your hearing aid entitlement, remaining limit, waiting period status, and claim documentation requirements.

How to Claim with PocketAid

If you wish to claim a rebate with your private health fund through your extras cover, we require a copy of your hearing test results.

Simply email your hearing test results to [email protected] and we will email you a short form to complete. If you do not have a copy of your hearing test, you can ask the provider to email it to you.

Your results will be checked and confirmed with one of our audiologists.

We recommend you call your health fund first to confirm your level of cover and eligibility for claiming hearing aids, as we cannot do this on your behalf.
